Curating My College Wardrobe

As a recently graduated high school student who's slightly terrified of growing up, I've been doing my best to not think about this fall's life milestone—college—but amid Amazon Prime Day Festivities, planning for college has been the only thing on my mind. What should I wear? Should I switch to a tote bag for school? How do I decorate my dorm? What new things do I need to buy?
While I've gone through my room and designated pieces that I think will be great starters to my college wardrobe, my newfound confrontation with what's to come this fall has me thinking about everything new, including new clothes and dorm essentials.
Rightfully so, I've compiled a College Wardrobe Wishlist encompassing all the pieces I can imagine myself wearing or accessorizing with this upcoming school year, and here it is.
The Going Out Bag
Whether it's brunch, a walk around campus, or a fun night out, the going-out bag is the perfect item to take along with me. It keeps all my things in place while adding to an outfit, making it functional and fabulous—the perfect combination for college.

Dressy Blouses
Having spent my high school years at a boarding school in New England, where I followed a formal dress code consisting of brunch attire, formality, and frills, I can't imagine myself dressing down too much in college. Sure, I can imagine that the freedom of wearing a sweatshirt or leggings to class will be nice, but I will truly miss my high school days of class dress. Hence, I've added a few blouses to my wishlist that can be worn to class, keeping elements of my boarding school life present in my college routine.

Prime Picks
It wouldn't be right not to include some of the items I've been eyeing on Amazon after viewing what seems like hundreds of Amazon Prime wishlist videos on my TikTok for you page. Some items that are my favorites include dorm essentials like makeup organizers, lamps, decorative books, a mini vanity mirror, and a storage ottoman.

While I may still be a tiny bit terrified of all the change to come as the seasons shift, I've come to learn that change can sometimes be exciting. After all, if change lets you compile a wishlist of clothes, how bad can it be?
